Working in all product categories, Garfinckel’s launched my everlasting interest in what creates style. It built my foundation of knowledge and practice in visual merchandising and inventory control that served me in my future ventures. Founded in 1905, Garfinckel’s was a prominent specialty store in Washington, DC - the first store in the United States chosen to sell Hermes and well- known for top luxury brands: Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Lanvin, Patou, and Yves Saint Laurent among others.
