Founded in 1905, Garfinckel’s was a prominent specialty store in Washington, DC and was the first store in the United States chosen to sell Hermes. It specialized in top luxury brands; Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Lanvin, Patou, and Yves Saint Laurent among others. 

Working in all product categories, their intensive management training program lofted my understanding of what creates style and gave me a foundation of knowledge in retail business systems, inventory control and visual merchandising.
